May The Force Be With You
Episode 2 Recap

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Well, not quite as long ago as that other story. And not in that galaxy, in a different one that’s not quite as far away... Hang on... Let me start over…

A while ago in a galaxy that is not near ours...

It is a time of civil war. The Empire is polarized. Those who fight to protect hope and light are outnumbered, outmanned, but they continue to fight those who stand with the Dark Side. Can they prevail? Can they beat back their would-be conquerors? Will the Force be with them?

Luke has learned that he is not the Chosen One and is feeling dejected. Han and Leia still support him. As the group wonders who the Chosen One is, a disembodied voice states “another one there is. Patient you must be.”

Han believes he knows who is coming… As Jyn Erso enters. Han admits she was not who he was expecting.

Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia recieve a message from Jyn.

Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia recieve a message from Jyn.

Jyn says that she has a message for Luke. Yoda is concerned that Luke will feel discouraged that he is not the Chosen One. However, Yoda sent Jyn with the message to reassure Luke that he is important and should not lose hope.

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah. Hey Luke!!

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah. Hey Luke!!

Jyn wishes that the force will be with them and departs. Unfortunately, Luke isn’t feeling any better. He doesn’t want to have to start over from the beginning again, not after everything he has already been through. Han tries to cheer Luke up and clasps Luke on the shoulder. Han suddenly feels a shock. No one else felt anything and Han is not known for being sensitive to the force. What caused him to feel that shock?

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet… the Dark Side as it were… Darth Vader is wondering if there is anyone that he can recruit to his cause. Kylo Ren enters. Vader is distrustful at first but after seeing Kylo’s arrogance and disdain Vader is convinced that Kylo Ren is actually his grandson.

Kylo Ren joins Vader;s quest for power.

Kylo Ren joins Vader;s quest for power.

The two clasp hands and feel the same shock that Han felt before. They are not sure what caused the shock but decide to ignore it.

They are both curious as to what caused the phenomenon that allows the two of them to meet but they decide to take the opportunity to destroy Han, Luke, Leia along with the joy, happiness and love their rebellion and resistance represent.

Kylo gets the idea to go Han and Leia himself. Kylo will say that he is sorry for having killed his father before. Vader approves of this idea and is very proud at how underhanded and duplicitous his grandson is.

Back on the Light Side of the planet, Yoda and Rey catch up to Han, Luke, Leia and Obi Wan. Luke is still feeling a little down about not being the Chosen One. He doesn’t want to have to start again but Yoda hopes that Rey’s message of strength will be enough to have Luke start again. Rey says that while Luke may not be the Chosen One himself she and Yoda are sure that Vader believes the path to winning depends on breaking Luke’s spirit. No matter who the Chosen One actually is, Vader will come after Luke.

Obi Wan, Han, Leia and Luke recieve support from Rey and Yoda.

Obi Wan, Han, Leia and Luke recieve support from Rey and Yoda.

Luke responds that he has already denounced Vader but Rey assures them that Vader will try again and use a different tactic. Vader is determined and will do anything he needs to get what he wants.

Leia, Han, Obi Wan, Rey and Yoda all say that they are with Luke and they will help him to defeat Darth Vader once again.

Obi Wan, Han, Leia, Luke, Rey and Yoda all vow to help eachother.

Obi Wan, Han, Leia, Luke, Rey and Yoda all vow to help eachother.
