For over 40 years the Comforters have created a wide variety of items to provide warmth and comfort for those in need. They take fabric, linen, yarn and more to lovingly hand make unique objects. In 2014 alone, the Comforters made over 400 baby blankets, 150 large quilts and dozens of lap robes, knitted shawls and tote bags. These items were donated to charity and distributed locally, across the United States and around the world.
Donations of any kind are happily accepted no matter if they are finished items or material remnants. New members are always welcome and even if you don’t like to sew there are many ways to volunteer.
The Comforters meet Wednesday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Masted Hall.
