Gateway to Art

Gateway to Art

Gateway to Art's mission is to encourage the creative and mental growth of children through meaningful art experiences. Throughout the year, seven local artists teach parent volunteers an original art project. The projects are specifically selected to present a variety of mediums and a wide range of artistic influences and production methods. During the workshop, the parent volunteers are taught and create the same project that they, in turn, will teach the children. Gateway to Art culminates with an Art Show where a piece of work from every child is represented.

You can find more information about the Gateway to Art program at their website gatewaytoart.org

Middle School Spring Musical

Middle School Spring Musical

Westchester Lutheran Middle School ispresenting James and the Giant Peach! Tickets are on sale now!

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale.  Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
