Wanted:
School Supplies
As the war in Iraq
continues, we remember the innocent victims of warfare:
children. Many Iraqi schools were destroyed
during warfare. Thankfully, the US Army Corps of
Engineers is currently rebuilding schools in Iraq so that
children can return to school and receive and education.

Please turn in items to your classroom teacher. If
you would like to contribute to shipping costs, that will be
helpful as well. Ms. Vellanoweth will ship the items
to the USACE to distribute to the children at their new
school.

Kids of the Kingdom
Rehearsals begin Monday, September 15th
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Students in K-2nd grades are invited to join the Kids on the
Kingdom Choir. Rehearsals are held every Monday Afternoon, and
choir sings at WL Church on the SECOND SUNDAY of each month.

All interested students are invited to join in singing and performing
high energy music.
The choir will be directed by Mr. Gerhold and will be singing on the
THIRD SUNDAY of each month at the 10:00am Worship Service at WL Church.

Tuesday from 12:20-1:00 and
Thursdays from 3:25pm -4:25pm

Taekwondo
At Westchester Lutheran School

By studying
Martial Arts, your child will learn not only physical training
and discipline but mental training as well, skills they will
need to be successful in school and in life.
The Limas are Masters Black Belts officially recognized by the
World Taekwondo Federation (WTF). They had been involved in
martial arts for over 30 years providing high quality
instruction.
TAll the classes will be personally directed by Master
Christianny Lima and her very well trained staff.

Please label ALL items brought to school with at least your
child's first initial and last name. (putting their class, i.e.
1B, is very helpful.) We try to return all items to the
students. Our Lost and Found rack is located at the end of
the walkway just past the 4A classroom. Please make sure
to check this rack for any lost items.
