Something’s Fishy
– Select a chapter book, 100+ pages, that is a
mystery and has many
characters.
Follow the instructions and example on the sheet that is coming home
in the weekly envelope. Be prepared to tell the class about your
book and to read your fish – five minutes maximum. Your book must
be okayed by me or your book report will not be counted. You cannot
read a book you have previously read.
With our chapel offerings, 4B is supporting
through ChildFund International Maria Jose Imbaquingo in
Ecuador.
She was born on August 19, 1997. She lives with her
parents and siblings in a humble three-room rented dwelling that has
a kitchen and a sanitary service. They have potable water,
electricity supply, and
a sewer system in the house made of adobe walls, mud-tiled roof, and
wooden floors. Her father supports the family working as a security
guard, with an income not higher than $160 a month, which is not
enough to meet the basic family needs. Her mother is a housewife.
While chapel offering is voluntary, our hope is that
each child will bring at least $0.25 a week so that we can meet our
yearly goal in supporting Maria and her family. We have a small
class and need everyone’s help.
